"We support ϲʹbecause we understand that we did not build our life together on our own,” he said. “I don’t know if I deserved that scholarship more than someone else, and it’s impossible to pay back all of the people here who helped us become who we are. Instead, we pay it forward. We were ready to be part of [the donor] community sooner rather than later, with the hope that we could impact more students."

At that time, most nurses trained at hospital-based nursing schools and the traditional practice of nursing was evolving. It was an evolution Dr. Dawe saw embodied in the nurse who would become his wife.

What I enjoy most about ϲʹ
What I enjoy most about ϲʹis the sense of community. Many of us students come from different backgrounds, yet somehow we find a way to discover similarities between one another. It is also very easy to get advice from upperclassmen and advisors. No one is judged for being a high achiever and people make themselves easily accessible to provide assistance. This has inspired me to put myself in a position to provide advice to other students.
