Women’s Basketball Runs Record-Setting Winning Streak to 18 Games

Most recently defeating Marist, 76-49, on Kids’ Day Out at Leo D. Mahoney Arena, Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ Women’s Basketball has set a new program record with an 18-game winning streak. The Stags, who are currently 20-1 overall and 12-0 in the MAAC, will look to extend their streak at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 when they play St. Peter's at the Mahoney Arena.

The Stags’ winning streak is currently the second-longest in the country behind #1 South Carolina. The top-ranked Gamecocks are also the only team with a better record than the Stags, at a perfect 22-0.

"I'm excited for what we've done until this point," Head Coach Carly Thibault-DuDonis said. "The thing we've talked about as a team is that we haven't come this far just to come this far. While 20 wins and 18 straight wins are great, there's a lot of season left, and we have a lot of goals to accomplish.”

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆWomen’s Basketball is currently unranked but receiving votes in both the Associated Press and WBCA Coaches’ poll for the first time in program history. The Stags are also ranked #8 in the College Insider Mid-Major Poll.
